We have been too busy to blog, but there's lots of updates to report!

First off, the deadline for entering the quilt and wearables shows has come and gone so we are now getting the layout in Hermann Gym perfected to assure maximum walking and viewing, and of course shopping room!

2011 Teacher of the Year

Even if you haven't registered for classes, you don't want to miss the quilt show and vendors mall. We have a great Day of Fun for $18.00 that includes a lecture of your choice and the quilt show/vendors mall. That's a savings of $3.00. The details for DAY OF FUN are at the NCQS11 website. We've added a lecture by Lyric Kinard who has just been named 2011 Teacher of the Year by the International Association of Professional Quilters. She's also going to emcee the Participants' Fashion Show. It will include several of Lyric's award winning garments. They are both elegant and extremely wearable. You've got to see them up close!

There's still great classes from some amazing teachers.Be sure to check out the  NCQS11 Faculty. Just think how fun it would be to take a class from Frieda Anderson, Joyce Becker, Susan Cleveland, Sally Collins, Karen Comstock, Nancy Eha, Ann Fahl, Rayna Gillman, and the list goes on!


And the last update to the website, is to add the directions to Peace College for all you first timers to North Carolina Quilt Symposium in Raleigh.
